Active Surveillance -

In many cases, prostate cancer originates gradually, and therefore, immediate medical intervention may not be expected. Radiation Therapy -

In this, cancer cells are destroyed with radiations from high-power x-rays and gamma rays. Radiation therapy can be split into external beam radiation and brachytherapy, i.e. internal radiation.

Hormone Therapy -

It is used for restraining the level of male hormones called androgens that may affect prostate cancer cells. It is also known as Androgen Deprivation Therapy or Androgen Suppression Therapy.

Chemotherapy -

In this, drugs are orally given to kill cancer cells and reduce the size of the tumour. This approach is highly effective, especially when it’s high grade.
