How To Control Prostate Enlargement

How To Control Prostate Enlargement

Benign prostate enlargement is a common condition in men as they age, but it may also be a result of healthcare issues such as diabetes or high cholesterol levels. If the cause can not be eliminated, the enlargement can often be treated with medication. Benign prostate enlargement is the most common type of non-cancerous prostate condition. It occurs when the gland becomes larger than normal and may cause symptoms including blood in the urine, a weak stream or no stream at all when going to the bathroom, pain or burning during urination, and a frequent need to urinate.

Unmarked by any symptoms or indications, benign prostate enlargement is a degenerative disorder that may result in a benign swelling of the prostate gland (painful urination, discharge). Between the ages of 50 and 70, it nearly always affects men and happens at a predictable rate. Although most men will experience mild increases in their PSA levels with increasing age, some may experience gradual or sudden growth that can require medical attention. Benign prostate gland enlargement may be managed with the right medicine and is devoid of any malignant disorders. However, you may also utilise non-cancerous methods, such as organic herbs and vitamins, to lower the level of PSA (prostate-specific antigen) in your blood.

Your prostate may enlarge as you get older, going from the size of a walnut to around the size of a lemon. Although the reason for the excessive growth of the prostate is unknown, it is believed that some male hormones, like dihydrotestosterone, affect the prostate gland more strongly as we age. The urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the penis and out of the body, can become compressed by the prostate if it grows larger because of its proximity to the bladder. Numerous urinary problems could develop as a result of this.
There are several different treatments for controlling an enlarged prostate, including minimally invasive techniques and the appropriate medications based on the following factors:
-Your Age
-Your Overall Health
-The degree of pain and discomfort you are experiencing
