Case 1: Rigicon Malleable Penile Implant
A 43-year-old NRI male presented with persistent inability to perform sexual activity despite a normal penile colour Doppler and no evidence of vasculogenic impotence. He was diagnosed with Erectile Dysfunction. After multiple unsuccessful trials of medical therapy, he opted for a penile prosthesis.
Diagnosis:
Erectile Dysfunction – Non-vasculogenic
Treatment Performed:
- Rigicon Malleable Penile Prosthesis with hinge
- Procedure performed under General Anaesthesia
- Smooth intraoperative course
- Catheter removed on Post-operative Day 2
Key Highlights:
- Implantation performed with meticulous surgical planning
- Excellent postoperative recovery
- Patient discharged in stable and satisfactory condition
Case 2: TUBE Malleable Penile Prosthesis
A 42-year-old male with a past history of priapism treated via distal corporo-cavernosal shunt presented with inability to perform sexual intercourse. He was diagnosed with Erectile Dysfunction and planned for a malleable penile implant.
Diagnosis:
Erectile Dysfunction secondary to prior priapism management
Treatment Performed:
- TUBE Malleable Penile Implant with hinge
- Procedure performed under General Anaesthesia
- Catheter removed on Post-operative Day 3
Key Highlights:
- Implantation performed successfully despite altered corporal anatomy from prior shunt
- Patient recovered well with no postoperative complications
- Discharged in stable condition
Key Features:
- Silver twisted wire core for optimal axial rigidity and controlled malleability
- PTFE-covered core enhances structural safety and durability
- Biocompatible silicone outer layer for comfort and stability
- High axial rigidity (>1500 g load) is linked to improved patient satisfaction
- Soft distal tip to minimise irritation or erosion
- Customizable length with radiopaque rear-tip extenders to ensure anatomical precision
