Presenting/Chief Complaints:
A 46-year-old female patient sought medical attention after episode of self resolving painless jaundice at RG Hospitals, Ludhiana - Model Town, An MRCP done outside indicated cholecystitis, but the films showed abnormal dilatation of the extrahepatic bile duct.
Diagnosis:
On MRCP review with diffusion-weighted images, a diagnosis of choledochal cyst type 1 with concurrent gallbladder carcinoma was established, a rare condition.
Treatment/Procedure/Surgery:
Radical Cholecystectomy with Excision of the Choledochal Cyst, followed by Roux-en-Y Hepaticojejunostomy.
Course of Hospitalization and Condition of Patient at the Time of Discharge:
Histopathological analysis confirmed T3N0 disease with negative margins, and the patient's recovery is progressing positively.
