Presenting/Chief Complaints:
The patient, a 49 year old woman, presented with a large abdominal swelling. Unaware of the growth, she had assumed it to be belly fat over the past two years.
Diagnosis:
Upon further investigation, CT scan abdomen revealed a large abdomino pelvic complex cystic SOL with internal multiple septation measuring 16.0 x 23.7 x 28.9 cm probably of ovarian origin.
Treatment/Procedure/Surgery:
Exploratory Laparotomy done under General Anesthesia.
Operative Findings:
Intraoperatively a large cystic union was excised from the abdomen, weighing 5.5 kgs.
Course of Hospitalization and Condition of Patient at the Time of Discharge:
The surgery was completed with minimal blood loss, and the patient experienced a smooth recovery.
Highlights:
The final histopathological confirmed it to be a Benign Brenner Tumor.
