Presenting/Chief Complaints:
46 year old lady presented with severe anemia with huge fibroid measuring (11cm x 8cm x 8cm) reaching upto the umbilicus and causing heavy bleeding during menses.
Diagnosis:
Large Uternine Fibroid Measuring 11cm x 8cm x 8cm.
Treatment/Procedure/Surgery:
Laparoscopic Hysterectomy Under General Anesthesia.
Operative Findings:
Patient was transfused multiple units of blood, stabilised and taken for surgery.
Entire specimen was extracted vaginally by the lateral coding technique.
Course of Hospitalization and Condition of Patient at the Time of Discharge:
The patient responded well to the treatment and was discharged in a stable and satisfactory condition.
Highlights:
On weighing the uterus was measured around 1.2 Kg, The entire surgery was performed in less than 2 hrs without the need for any transfusion.
The total blood loss was 10 ml during the entire procedure.
