RG Rajouri Garden : Successful Robotic Radical Prostatectomy in a Prostate Cancer Case

PRESENTING / CHIEF COMPLAINTS:
A 68-year-old male patient presented with lower urinary tract symptoms, poor urinary flow, and associated complications. The patient was a known case of carcinoma prostate and was admitted for further evaluation and management.
CLINICAL FINDINGS:
- Locally advanced prostate cancer
- Large prostatic gland (~90 gm)
- Seminal vesicle involvement
- Severe anaemia and diabetes
- PET CT suggestive of prostatic malignancy (Gleason score 4+3)
DIAGNOSIS:
Locally advanced carcinoma prostate (Gleason score 4+3, Grade Group 3) with significant prostatic enlargement and associated complications.
TREATMENT PERFORMED:
Robotic Assisted Radical Prostatectomy with Bilateral Iliac Lymph Node Dissection under General Anaesthesia.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CASE:
- Management of locally advanced prostate cancer with large gland (~90 gm)
- Successful Robotic Assisted Radical Prostatectomy
- Complex case with seminal vesicle involvement
- Surgery duration ~7 hours with successful outcome
- Biopsy revealed negative surgical margins and lymph nodes
