About Dr. Punit Bansal

Dr. Punit Bansal is the Director & Head – Institute of Urology at RG Hospitals || RG Stone Urology & Laparoscopy Hospital, Model Town, Ludhiana, Punjab. With more than 25 years of experience in the field of Urology, he has performed over 15,000 successful urological surgeries.

He completed his MBBS in 1999 from KMC Mangalore and MS in Surgery in 2003 from Government Medical College, Patiala, followed by a super-specialisation in Urology (MCh) in 2009 from IPGMER. Over the years, Dr. Punit Bansal has gained expertise in advanced urological procedures and has been a pioneer in minimally invasive and laser-based treatments.

He has successfully performed a large number of Flexible Ureteroscopies for kidney stones and more than 500 HoLEP surgeries for enlarged prostate glands, including one of the largest prostates weighing 350 gm. Along with his clinical practice, he has contributed extensively to research with over 25 publications in reputed international journals.
