RG Kolkata: Minimally Invasive Urolift Procedure For Prostatomegaly With Bladder Outlet Obstruction

PRESENTING / CHIEF COMPLAINTS:
A 66-year-old male patient presented with Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS), poor urinary flow, frequent urination in small quantities, and low back pain for the past few months.
The patient was admitted for further evaluation and surgical management.
CLINICAL FINDINGS:
- Enlarged prostate gland (Prostate size: 39.60 gm).
- Bladder outlet obstruction causing urinary symptoms.
DIAGNOSIS:
Prostatomegaly with bladder outlet obstruction.
TREATMENT PERFORMED:
UROLIFT procedure performed under Spinal Anesthesia.
SPECIAL NOTE:
This case highlights Dr. Arindam Dutta’s expertise in performing a minimally invasive UROLIFT procedure, which is the first of its kind at RG Kolkata.
