Job Description

Role of CLINCAL COORDINATOR 

•    Accompany consultants during their rounds, ensuring thorough preparation and review of each patient's clinical condition prior to these consultations. This will involve maintaining a detailed diary for accurate record-keeping.
•    Conduct rounds of all patients , assess their clinical conditions and keep the details ready/handy before consultant’s round
•    Coordinate closely with the on-duty Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) and nursing staff to ensure that new instructions issued during the consultants' rounds are implemented promptly.
•    Oversee the preparation and accuracy of discharge summaries, and communicate and explain these to patients and their families if required.
•    Ensure that post-operative instructions are accurately transcribed and that the prescribed orders are initiated by the on-duty RMOs and nursing staff on the floor.
•    Serve as an integral member of the surgical team, assisting in the pre-operative preparations for admitted patients and overseeing the transfer of case files to the Operating Theatre (OT).
•    Act as a primary point of contact for patients and their families, offering timely updates and comprehensive information regarding treatment plans, procedures, and prognoses.
•    Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on behalf of the consultants, ensuring a clear understanding of the medical care plan and encouraging informed decision-making
•    Give back up in OPD and emergency in absence of consultants especially when they are occupied in OT
