Dr. Azhar Alam is amongst the renowned and leading Gastrointestinal, Advanced Laparoscopic & Laser surgeons of Kolkata. He is specially known for his expertise in Piles, Fistula, Fissure treatment.

He completed his MBBS with Honours and he is a Gold Medallist in Surgery. Dr. Azhar Alam completed his Senior Residency in Surgery from Calcutta National Medical College & Hospital, he has worked as a Consultant Laparoscopic Surgeon in leading hospitals like, EMC Super Specialty Hospital, Amritsar and Medica North Bengal, Silliguri.

He then pursued his DNB in General Surgery from BR Singh Hospital, Eastern Railways, Kolkata, followed by MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons, United Kingdom.

He is a member of the prestigious National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS) & has also obtained the coveted Fellowship in Minimally Advanced Surgery (FMAS) from AMASI & Fellowship of Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (FIAGES).

Dr. Azhar Alam is amongst the very few Trained and Certified Laser Surgeons in Kolkata and in Eastern India, having obtained his certification from Lasotronix (Poland).
